MOVIE REVIEW :-Hello all, welcome to the review and here is our non spoiler review of the film (TELUSU KADA). starring Sidhu Raashi Kanna and Srinidhi Shetty in the lead roles. This movie is written and directed by Neerja Kona. After watching the movie, I felt like I should have a discussion with Neerja Garu to express my opinion. Because some scenes are so real that I watch them happen in real life so now I am curious what actually propelled her to write this story. Sometimes some movies come along that cannot be put in a box. You know, this is one of those movies for me. Also, one more thing, watch it with an open mind because this movie challenges our traditional point of view of love. The plot is simple, we have seen a boy caught between two girls in many movies, but the treatment in this movie is very new. In fact, this is the biggest plus and minus of this movie because on one hand, it seemed better to present this story in the mainstream. But on the other hand, this movie still brought a divisive reaction. For me, Varun is an orphan, he grew up without love since childhood, and he also has a clarity about what kind of love he needs. But Varun is an orphan, so he has abandonment issues. That triggers him. The solution he thinks is right for those abandonment issues is to have a family. Putting aside the right or wrong way to achieve this, the movie asks us to empathize with Hima and we do have a logic to why his character behaves the way he does. Every behavior has an emotional reasoning for every choice. When Srinidhi Shetty comes in, her character starts out as a confused person.
2) But ends up in a mature arc where she has a guilt and closure. Now, unlike Raashi, Anjali's character starts out as a practical sort of person. And the love he shows is different. There is a lot of calm and poised love. Again, all the characters have egos. They are triggered by themselves but at the same time, they also have a lot of love for each other. They also have empathy for each other. So the entire movie is basically complicated characters in an even more complicated situation, and every time you think it can't get any more complicated, they introduce another conflict point. The first half is very easy going, fun, cute love stories. We think it's a typical house, kitchen, girlfriend type zone, but all the real emotional drama happens in the second half. I always think that positive and negative emotions are basically the same. Just like a coin with positive on one side, there is negative emotion on the other. If there is more love, jealousy and positivity will come. If there is more pain, it will become anger. Here are the issues. Everything is the other side of a coin. In Varun's character, we see these two sides, but we cannot tell which side will come to whom and when. The main drama in the movie also comes from this. There should be relief in the middle of such emotional drama. The comedy provides that there are enough loves to keep us from getting overwhelmed. The biggest strength of this movie is the new and unique characters, but the minuses also come here. Basically, the character Varun should be very vulnerable. Being a man with attachment issues, he should be clingy.
3) But Varun is not like that. He says that if estrojen is this much, testosterone should be more. But I don't understand why they gave him this sigma male treatment. Varun keeps everything inside, but I felt that the scene where he reveals all his feelings should have been more emotional. Same with Anjali's character, she is very comment poisoned. How such a character reacts when put in such a situation is an interesting point, but it seemed that the character got diluted a little. We root for her till the end of the movie, but we don't get the full information about what's going on in her mind. At least not at the level of clarity that Varun has. Same with Raaga, she starts out as a confused person. Her choice is motivated by the need to get closure from guilt. But at the same time, the "why" is not strong. That is, they give reasons why someone else could have done it instead of Raaga, but even if they had those reasons, they could have still gone to a different person, but Varuna and Raaga both act selfishly. So it feels like they've become toxic here. Such characters operate in a very grey area. I mean, I liked it because I like grey characters, I like characters who are morally different but at the same time, I miss their endings too. Also, the tone of this film keeps shifting. Since Sidhu is a star, he gets a bit of that treatment. It doesn't seem to be a realistic tone, so again, this film doesn't fully commit. Maybe they thought it would be progressive, but they give everyone an acceptable ending. It was a bit disappointing, but it felt like a complete leap should have been taken. Technically
