MOVIE REVIEW :-Hello all, welcome to the review and here is our non spoiler review of the film (Kotthaloka). Don't think the movie is over now and leave quickly. There are two en-credits, go outside after watching them. If I told you to watch the en-credits now, you will understand that you liked the movie. Again, Malayalam has given another superhero franchise to Indian cinema. Our Dulquer Salmaan is not only acting in quality movies, he is also producing quality movies. The movie has succeeded not only in terms of story but also in terms of introducing a new universe. But if you are used to watching with subtitles, then watch Malayalam Varsha. Our Telugu dubbing has beaten the true translation. What if a movie like this is dubbed properly sir? If people watch it in Telugu, then it is enough if the dubbing of the next movies is done correctly. English movie dubbings are good, but they use those Telugu fonts on this one, but there are mistakes in that too. After watching this movie, I would like to give my opinion. I liked it. Now let's go to the review. A girl named Chandra is a mysterious woman. She is said to have been in hiding for some years. But at the same time, Sunny and the gang are linked to her. At the same time, they are in conflict with the organ trading mafia in the city. Who is Chandra and what is her secret? How Sunny's life changed because of him. Where did the original superhero angle come from? To build a universe, the main thing is world building and the connection with those characters. These two have done it successfully in this movie. The main strength of this movie is the love story between Kalyani and Nuslin. This movie starts with the curiosity of a girl who falls in love with her heart. Their love story brings an emotional connection when it becomes a movie. Both actors did well.
2) Kalyani is definitely the star of the show. Till now, we have seen her in mostly cute roles, so I was doubtful about how she would do this. But she did well. Nuslin is not usually a supporting role in this movie after a movie like Soul Thane Premala. But playing a role of Nusle is a big plus for the movie. It is not only the comic relief that the movie needs. The emotion that we care about also comes from here. This movie is mostly in a fun and chill zone at first. The things that Sunny and friends do to find out who Chandra really is are funny. But Sunny, who accidentally follows Chandra, finds out Chandra's secret. After an excellent pre-interval sequence, the movie goes into a different zone. The main villain in this movie is a police officer. The actor's name is Shandy. It seems like perfect casting. They bring a lot of evilness from the first frame. In this way, they have mostly created a nice setup in the first half. My issues with this movie also started from here. The second half is fine but at the same time there seem to be a lot of pacing issues. This pacing is not because the story is not happening, but because more is happening than the set up story. On one hand, the Chandra character origin story is real.
3) On the other hand, they are setting up the superhero universe. After a point, it felt like too much information. But fortunately, they don't stretch it any further. The movie is wrapped up neatly. They give a cameo in the second half and a cameo in the mid-credit scene. And they sent the movie out of the theater with a high. Technically, this movie is also good. Jakes Bejoy's music is a huge plus the Chandra theme is excellent. Especially in that pre-interval stretch, they have given away all the themes. Cinematography by Nimish Ravi is beautiful, even in a low budget, these frames were given, it was crazy, editing by Chaman Chacko could have been better. There is too much information in many places, we felt that it could have been at least 10 minutes shorter. Because some plot points are set but there is no pay off. It seems that if they were removed completely, the flow would have been better. It can be said that director Dominic Arun has succeeded in building a new universe. This movie, which starts as a funny rom-com, slowly establishes a new superhero universe, but he has succeeded. It is good to take inspiration from Indian mythology and folklore and mix these elements with the superhero genre. But at one point, I definitely felt that the runtime was fine, but giving too much information backfired. In this too, it almost backfired, but how he pulled it together usually doesn't come to us in the superhero universe. So the idea of mixing our legends and stories and doing this is very exciting. Definitely a good start to the new universe. After watching the credits scene of this movie, I have a feeling that how can they deliver such quality stuff? If you watch World Cinema, obviously you will remember many TV series. I'm not saying they brought a new . Thanks for reading.
