MOVIE REVIEW :-Hello all, welcome to the review and here is our non spoiler review of the film (Coolie). Which directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj first of all after watching the movie my opinion is it has its moments some scenes were good but overall i am disappointed bhaiya definitely bad movie but no but i expected better from Lokesh i mean Lokesh is a good director so he gets few things right like Rajini sir star person he used it well. that means some scenes that Lokesh thought work only because of Rajini sir on screen. But we all know that except for Rajini sir, there are many other stars in this movie and sadly none of the roles do justice to the actor's stature. Nagarjuna sir did well as the villain but his characterization was a let down like many mass masala movies. This movie is also a bit of a language movie template. The story skeleton that Lokesh has picked is of course good. And he has also carefully considered what elements should be there. So there is scope for enough fan moments and elevations. And they fall but they are also few and far between except for the rest, what else is not as good as we thought the main reason is the generic characterizations. When we say Lokesh Kanakaraj, what comes to mind is the crazy interesting characters in his films, Vikram or Master or Khaidi. After watching those movies, we remember the heroine and villain characters in those films.
2) Let's talk about them. But in Coolie, there is no such character, Upendra garu and Aamir Khan garu's roles but the original ones and as I said earlier, this is a bit language and a bit of the type template that we have seen in Lokesh's previous movies. In the first half, they put a mystery element and take the plot forward. So that creates that initial interest. But for it to be sustained, the proceedings around it need to be supported. There should be a proper plot construction. We need to start rooting for the character. But in terms of cost, all these aspects work a bit differently. There may be some elevations in the middle, but the pre-interval and interval portions of Yes I Said Not All of Them hit a mark in the first half. Whether it is Rajini sir's star persona or Naga sir's stylish background score or Anirudh's built stakes, all these seem a bit like Lokesh Mark scenes. But later on in the second half, the lack of strong characterizations is clearly visible. In this movie, Lokesh has a very stylish and uber cool look to all his movies. The visuals are treated very well, but the same coolness is not seen much in the writing. In the second half, all the details related to the core plot of the movie are coming.
3) But they are all presented very dialogue-heavy with too much exposition. And since they are also a bit generic stuff, they don't have any impact on the movie. And when it comes to the ending, when Aamir Khan's cameo is put and he is said to be another main person, it seems that Nagarjuna's role, which already didn't have a big impact, has been played down even further. But Rajinikanth's movies are something we expect, like his signature style, song and language movie template, and the usual heroic moments in Rajinikanth's movies, but Lokesh Kanakaraju pulled them off well. Coming to the actors, Rajinikanth has done well as usual. He is the biggest strength of this movie and some vintage references also worked well. Nagasar did good but his characterization didn't match his presence. Shruti Haasan and Souvin also did well. But comparatively Sauvin's role is a bit better than the rest and he utilized it pretty well, as I said earlier, Sathyaraj Upendra and Aamir Khan's roles are wasted. Coming to the technical team, Anirudh's background score was good. Mounika's song is good but the placement of that song is not correct. Cinematography, editing, production design, VFX, everything is done right so no complaints here. Coming to Lokesh Kanagaraj, we all know that Lokesh is capable of much more than this, he is one of the most exciting filmmakers working today, so his potential cannot be questioned with this one film. With the next movie, we hope to give everyone a good theatrical experience again, and the final word is Coolie could have been much better than what it is. signoff bye
