MOVIE REVIEW :-Hello everyone welcome to the view and this is our non-spoiler review of the movie (Bison). starring Dhruva Vikram Anupama Parameswaran and Pashupathi in the lead roles. This movie was directed by Mari Salvaraj. After watching the movie, I can honestly say that I liked the movie very much. The plot line of the movie is simple. He is a good Kabaddi player. He is also called Bison because of his playing style. But the whole village where he lives is always in turmoil due to fights between two groups. How Bison came out of such dire situations and whether his dream of playing for Team India was realized or not is the story. You must also know that there is a saying about Indian sports that you have to overcome all difficulties and not excel in sports. It is not the case in our country as it is in other countries. A player can come up with talent and work hard up to a certain level and then there must be luck or connections. There is a lot of politics behind it. Even if he gets selected in the team after all this, it is not possible to say whether he will actually get a chance to play. This happens in every sport in India. So where there is such a system, it is a big deal for a player to succeed. But this is just a stakes that are only up to the sport. What if, when a person is at a stage where his life can change at any time due to the situations around him, can a person succeed amidst all the conflicts, grudges, and revenge? Mari Selvaraj explores this idea. Kitten is very simple-minded. All he knows is playing kabaddi. But the world around him is not like that. There are two gang leaders and a gang war breaks out between them. According to the original logic, they are at the very top level. People like this Kitten are at the very low level. But whatever happens to them at the top, its immediate effect affects them at the bottom. In this movie too, violence happens like a chain reaction. Violence surrounds them like a loop from which the characters cannot escape.
2) Mari Salvaraj shows this escalation and de-escalation very beautifully, which is one of the complaints I have with recent movies. Earlier, even if a single character died in a movie, we would feel more and become very emotional, but now what are they doing in movies? One character should be enough for the whole village. A situation in a home should be enough for everyone. It seems that they are increasing the scale by saying that the audience should feel more. But Mari Selvaraj successfully avoids this trope. There is violence in it. But more than that violence, there is a fear of when it will happen. The characters will be walking around holding knives. But we will be afraid of when the situation where that knife will be used will come. The father of the children, Veluswamy, keeps on being afraid like this. There are one or two scenes in the movie where his fear comes true. Then we understand what kind of world they live in and what their situations are like. Captain Kabaddi says that it is not just because of his dream but to change the entire culture. The stakes are raised a lot in this way. The stakes are much higher in Bison than in the movie Mari Salvaraj In fact Karnan. The stakes are much higher in Pariyerum Perumal. Also, when it comes to acting performances, everyone does well. If you think that Dhruvikram did not get the right role after Mahan, you can say that it was set up very well with this movie. His character is very introverted but his playing style is totally opposite. This difference is shown well. And if he plays the role of a father, then he will probably give the best performance in the movie Sarapatta. We liked him as a coach in the movie Sarapatta.
3) In this movie, Anupama and Rajisha Vijagan did well as long as they had scope. The director was asked a question during the promotions of this movie. Why do you always make cast-based stories? He said that the place where he grew up is like that. So he took the experiences that happened to him. After watching this movie, I understood why. People who grow up in such a place change a lot emotionally. Mari Salvaraj also became like that. That is why he made the world building in this movie very realistic. It was felt in some places in the movie. It felt like it was going to be a typical sports drama and become routine. But Mari Salvaraj avoids all the clichés. The sports drama structure is the same but the scenes are new. A lot of drama comes from the world where this story takes place. Also, the character of Bison doesn't go to Japan, he just needs to go to the village first, so he creates drama so well. I didn't see any points that seemed too negative to point out. Technically, this movie is also strong. The visuals are very good, Eli RS's cinematography is good. Nivas Prasanna's music is also good. The songs may be normal, but BJ has given it well. Direction by Mari Salvaraj is too good. Whether it's world building, conflict building, drama building, or character building, he's all right..
